About

I'm Gautham Santhosh, cofounder of Polynomial Protocol — an on-chain perpetual futures protocol with $9B+ in cumulative trading volume, running on our own OP Stack L2 chain purpose-built for derivatives.

Backed by Archetype, Road Capital, Caballeros Capital, and angels including Kain Warwick (Synthetix), Jordan (Synthetix), Scott Sunarto (eGirl Capital), Eden Au (The Block), and Mike (Lyra). Born at ETHGlobal HackMoney 2021.

I've spent the last 5 years building autonomous financial infrastructure — smart contracts that execute trades, enforce risk limits, and move real money with no human in the loop. The protocol enforces safety constraints at every layer: max leverage limits, mandatory stop-losses, and sandboxed execution environments.

Background

Before Polynomial, I was an ML Engineer at JustWatch in Berlin, working on production machine learning systems.

Before that, I was a Research Intern at the University of Messina in Italy, where I co-authored "Towards Trustless Prediction-as-a-Service" — early (2019) research on decentralized verification of ML inference, presented at IEEE SmartComp 2019 in Washington DC.

I studied Integrated M.Tech in Intelligent Systems at IIIT Allahabad.

Press

Featured in CoinDesk and Forbes. My CoinDesk piece on Ethereum L2 blob space limits was picked up by 6+ international publications including BlockBeats, Gate.io, PANews, and Binance Square.

Builder History

I've shipped 8+ products, including multiple Product Hunt top-5 finishes and a Product Hunt Silver Kitty Award (Feature Monkey). Won the Skale bounty at ETHParis (Ayyo). 86 GitHub repos. Arctic Code Vault Contributor.

In college, I co-founded Hack in the North — one of India's biggest student hackathons (300+ participants). I also started OpenCode, an open-source bootcamp that taught 200+ students annually, and was coordinator of the Free and Open Source Society at IIIT Allahabad.
